WINNER: Daughter Scream

I took a few shots and this one made my daughter scream , so I knew it was the one . I used an light-emitting diode torch shining from the right and practice some visible radiation editing in Lightroom . Canon 7D with 100 mm macro lens . Manual mode 1/80s , f/16 , ISO 1600 .

The Excuse

I conk to visit a supporter and there was a nice great windowpane with a pretty fall eyeshot outside . She was face in effect so I made this photo challenge an excuse to take moving-picture show of her . win . Nikon D700 ISO 1600 , 105 mm Nikkor macro @f/4.0 1/30 sec

AHHHH!

This was both an easy and difficult challenge . easy because you just need to keep your eye open during the shot and hope that it ’s pretty much in stress . difficult because it really started pussyfoot me out during mail … 😆 I took about 35 crack and ended up with five I was “ happy ” with . man , you really receive out a lot about how unhealthy you start to appear when you ’re closeup like that . the one I decided to utilize in the contest was one of the last shots I took . I care the blood vessel mappings admit with the iris look away from the tv camera and make up one’s mind it might face better ( creepier ? ) in a heavy black and white … .Camera : nikon D7000 , 0.25 sec , f/5.6 , ISO 400

I ’ve always been interested in taking closeup photograph of eyes , for whatever reason , but I never liked dealing with firing and reflections from taking eye photo in a bright elbow room and/or in front of bright lights , so I got the wide-eyed melodic theme to assay and take them out of doors instead . I ’m also a vainglorious sky / sundown photographer , so this was a 1 + 1 = 2 form of thing . I wanted to attempt to take a picture of the reflection of a sky / sunset in my middle . I simply put my camera and tripod on the ceiling outside of my bedroom window , hung out of it very uncomfortably , and used a remote trigger to take a twosome of nip . Then I did a little cropping and color work . Canon XSi – 18 - 55 mm lens @ 55 millimeter – F10 – 1/200th – ISO 200

Big Blue

I do n’t have a corking macro lens , but I still wanted to examine out this challenge since I could do so at home . And what better subject than my 6 month old girl ? She has the greatest aspect every clip I pull out my camera . It ’s like she knows what it ’s meant for and what she ask to do . She was just hold to be in front of the television camera ( though , I suppose all mothers could say that about their tike ) . With this challenge in mind , I took out my photographic camera and just let her do her matter . She gave me one of her classic flavor , and I was able to capture that expression in her center . It may not be as clear as what it could be with a dissimilar lens , but I feel like the picture does just what I wanted it to : register a marvelous expression of whiteness with just one eye .

Painted

I shot this using a Nikon D800 , Sigma 105 Macro , Tripod , Ring spark , and one off camera flash . I involve my wife to put on some make up that would accentuate her optic color , and we decide in a b / w checker traffic pattern , my chief focus was to get the light from the doughnut light to couch her flag utterly ; overall we were very well-chosen with the result .

Almost Famous

I took this shot of my dad ’s centre one summer eventide , I was trying my new gadget , the Ollo time for the Iphone 4 . The lens used was macro . Hopefully his eye becomes famous 🙂 Shot with Iphone 4 with macro Ollo Clip .

White Out

This is a self guess . I made a elementary ring light out of paper and lit it up with a wireless flash from the front for even Light Within on the ring . Because I have a cropped sensing element , I wanted to focalise at the minimal range , but that ’s incredibly hard to do by myself … so what I did is employ two mirror ( wall mirror behind tv camera , ornamental mirror on the left field ) to check my blind , and I used a shutter release cable to snap the shot . Hope you like it ! Sony a550 , Sigma AF 180 millimetre f/3.5 EX HSM APO Macro prime lens , f/5.6 1/125s ISO400

Vanity Shot

I played around with dissimilar setups and angles settling on this submission . I used a GLIF mount and a cheap - o tripod to contain my iPhone on my bathroom sink ( so I could see the blind in the mirror while I shot ) . I utilize natural spectrum CFL bulbs at home , so I brought in supererogatory lamp to get the best light potential . I have a three - door vanity and open up one of the side room access to about 45 degrees is what allowed me to catch my brass in my iris . I deteriorate the highlights and bumped the contrast to help the reflection of my eyelash pop . The edge blurring is unavoidable , but not too moth-eaten for an AT&T - subsidise camera and a $ 15 lens ! television camera : iPhone 4S. Lens : Easy - Macro over gunstock iPhone camera ( you may see it in the student ! ) , ISO : 125

Shutter : 1/20 sec
