After a very long , very weird lead up which includedfan vote , important categories cutandso much more , it ’s no surprise that the 94th Annual Academy Awards celebratingthem were evenly weird with a few good example being an alt interlingual rendition of “ We Do n’t speak About Bruno , ” Will Smith literally smacking Chris Rock and lots of Zack Snyder . And yet , when the locoweed solve , things went largely as expected . From an io9 point of view , the big victor wasDenis Villeneuve ’s Dune , which went home with six Academy Award , all in technical categories . The dark ’s overall big success though , was or Apple ’s Coda which advance Best Picture , along with Adapted Screenplay and Best Supporting Actor .
Among the other winner in genre were Encanto for Best Animated Film , Cruella for Best Costume Design , No Time to Die for Best Song and Zack Snyder sweeping ( yes sweeping ) the fan voted categories which included Best Cheer moments for Zack Snyder ’s Justice League and Fan Favorite film for Army of the Dead .
