It was important to the couple that Cassano’s daughters, ages 8 and 12, played a special part in the big day. Even before walking down the aisle, Berenato made sure the girls knew how important their role in their relationship was — gifting them both diamond bracelets after proposing to their mom.
“They [would] say, ‘How much longer toourwedding?’” Berenato told PEOPLE, beaming. “So that is how we look at it. Our older daughter, Giovanna, she’s very good at playing the piano, so she’s [playing] Toni’s walk down the aisle song. And then our little one, Valentina, is in charge of the rings.”
