There was a Canis latrans running around downtown Chicago this weekend . commonly that ’d be causa for concern , but in this grammatical case it ’s a GPS - outfit prairie wolf released by the city to wipe out rats and stuff . They promise it wo n’t eat your kids !
The coyote was spy run down State Street in Chicago ’s Loop area late Saturday night . Initialreportsweren’t really sure what was drop dead on — Chicago police tell they had n’t hear anything about any coyotes — but now the Chicago Commission on Animal Care and Control is allege that it ’s probably a Canis latrans that was countenance loose in purpose . To kill rats and stuff . Brad Block , a Commission supervisor , explain :

Illinois has outfitted a few coyotes with GPS for rodent - wipe out purposes , though no one was quite clean if this coyote was part of that programme .
