Green Hornet theatre director Michel Gondry is team up with Ghost World scribe Daniel Clowes to create a time - travel drama starring Ellen “ Juno Pryde ” Page . look like Gondry ’s attempt to tangle both the Saturn and Independent Spirit Awards with this one .
Here ’s some Gondry give away news show from SXSW – MTV reportsthat the Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind director is working with Clowes and Keith Bunin , a writer from HBO ’s In Treatment , on a time - travelling flick about young mass visiting the hereafter . Gondry confirms that Ellen Page will asterisk as Nancy , which is incidentally the same name as one of the protagonists of Rudy Rucker ’s 1984 sci - fi novel The Master of Space and Time . Gondry was place to adapt Rucker ’s novel , but that task has since go bad belly - up .
Clowes is also working with Gondry onMegalomania , an animated picture about a group of children who harness the power of hair to economize the world from an evil monocracy . Seth Rogen , Steve Buscemi , and Juliette Lewis will be providing voices .
As for the manager ’s other future projects , Gondry is currently writing The Return of The Ice Kids , a film about a curious form of water supply that allows you to hear music upon salute it .
