With newspaper headline like “ Police Officer Does n’t See a conflict Between Black , Light - Skinned Black Suspects ” and “ Neither Pickup Basketball Team Has Scored In Over 2 hour , ” it can be confusing for some ( OK , your Aunt Debby ) to interpret the satirical headline from The Onion .
ArsTechnica has spottedthat Facebook has get labeling story from the parody intelligence source with a “ sarcasm ” rag , just in case if that was n’t clear enough . The tag only appears after you come home out to an Onion piece from your News Feed and then return to Facebook . That ’s when Facebook pulls up three more related article and the countersign “ satire ” pops up in brackets .
A Facebook voice support the test to ArsTechnica :

“ We are pass a small tryout which shows the text ‘ [ Satire ] ’ in front of links to satirical article in the bear on articles social unit in News Feed . This is because we get feedback that hoi polloi want a light way to recognize satiric articles from others in these unit . ”
The test , which has been bechance for about a calendar month , is also being applied to other parody news show site . They did n’t provide them with a leaning , but do permit us know if you see a one come out for Fox News articles . [ ArsTechnica ]
