OK , that ’s not solely middling . American Horror Story : Coven has been a pretty female dominated season . But for the first sentence this in a long sentence , it in the end feel like the witches of this Coven realized , “ who start the world ? GIRLS . ” And it was AWESOME .
I love this time of year of AHS . When it was first announced that this would be a witch - centric series , I was over the motherfucking go down moon . Why ? Because United States Army of women are the best armies . And when you make them unstoppable forces of magic , HELL YES . Practical Magic , The Craft , even the much shittier Charmed — I eat it up .
And I did n’t realise until this hebdomad that the office of sisterhood was exactly what I was missing from this series . Not until the girls got together and rip a man ’s intestines out of his side with an axe , did I shout out “ YES ! THIS ! YES ! ”
As far as harnessing the Power of the Pussy and using it to aggressively ball - kick back the big boy of New Orleans goes , this serial has been more of a ball tap thus far . rather , these witches spent most of their clip killing each other and feuding . This is a waste of my Traveling Pants passion .
And perchance that was the whole full point ? This season was a slow simmer in a pocket billiards of roue just waiting to bubble over in a volley of dame gusto at the flood tide . We ’re one episode off from the stopping point and these girls are just now working together . It kind of shit me wish they ’d paused strain the undead three and spend more time ripping up this Ithiel Town as a pack . But the postponement was worth it . Even though these girls hate each other , it ’s quite amazing to look on them unite to bump off anyone who “ have a go at it with their coven . ”
This is the first metre in the history of this rat - shit insane show that I do n’t need the time of year to reboot . I would like to bide with this coven a whole lot longer .
So what hap ? Well the immortal plot point gets neatly tied up . What with Marie Laveau being chop up into turn and spread out all over the yard , she can no longer keep up her “ one sister a year ” trade with the demon Papa Legba . So she ’s in falling out of declaration , and to hell both Delphine LaLaurie and Laveau go . Also thanks to Queenie adjure up Papa and informing him of this . How neat is it that both of their sin are the SAME place ? They deserve each other .
Sidenote : Papa Legba is just fantastic . It was a treat and a pleasure to get him back this episode . Lance Reddick is having an inviolable ball playing this character , and he is just killing it . I recognise I ’m all about the ladies today , but he is a rattling fibre , I do n’t want to lose this bozo !
So what else ? Fiona got her portrait done , conclude her pretence that she ’s last to go quietly into the dark night . When in realism she want nothing more than to bolt down all these bitches . But when her girl Cordelia foresees her female parent ’s destruction , she finally decides to buy the blossom herself . Heads over to Fiona ’s boyfriends house and declare SURPRISE , SHE GON ’ DUMP YOU . In reply he kills her — because hello , axe liquidator . However , I do n’t in reality believe that she is dead .
Misty gets pull out of her casket , then she and Madison have the most wondrous fight ever . It mostly consist of Misty confound punishing punch and Madison screaming and stomping her feet . Then Misty calls her “ Hollywood ” — and it ’s glorious . But they all come up together in the end to defend the coven from the Axe Man . And now we can finally get the Yayayayayaya Sisterhood destruction I ’ve been craving . Too bad that ’s probably not run to last through the Seven Wonders . Ah well . It shall endure forever in this “ stop ” gif moment . Le sigh .
