The footage shows an officer approaching Neu’s home asking, “Hello, uh, you ordered groceries?”
After Neu’s wife opens the door and says yes, the female officer explains, “Your driver got arrested, so we’re delivering your groceries.”
Although Neu’s wife isn’t seen in the footage, she is heard responding, “Wow, I haven’t had that before,” which makes the officer smile and say, “No, but we didn’t want your groceries to go to waste so we have all your groceries and we’re going to bring them in for you.”

After the officer said that they wanted to make sure they were home, she and another officer were seen carrying grocery bags from their patrol car inside the home.
Neu’s wife joked, “I’ll make sure you get his tip,” and the officers wished her well as they departed the property.
In a statement to PEOPLE about the experience, the department said they were “successful in the arrest of a wanted felon off the city streets.”
“However, we remain compassionate and appreciative of our citizens, and we’re happy to complete the delivery of paid groceries to a valued community member,” the statement continued.
Neu told FOX35 that the department “definitely went above and beyond and did a wonderful job.”

“My dad was a police officer when I was growing up, so I have the utmost respect for them, so when I saw that, it was wonderful to see,” Neu added.
