With LA ’s Wilshire Grand to becrowned as the raw improbable building Dame Rebecca West of the Mississippi , you might expect the former tallest building Mae West of the Mississippi to just sulkiness into oblivion . No mode ! The US Bank Tower is one - uppingevery observation pack of cards on the planetwith a soon - to - be - vomit - covered slide . ON THE OUTSIDE OF THE BUILDING .
Curbed LA has the detailson the “ skyslide , ” a 36 - foot glass microscope slide designed by M. Ludvik & Co. that will allow to visitors to move from the 70th to the 69th floor . ON THE OUTSIDE OF THE BUILDING :
Called the Skyslide , the chute will be made of clear glass four in thickset , ride about 1,000 foundation above the priming coat , and whole one - up other observation decks that just have that scary all - trash platform that make the illusion of standing on air ( like the one at Chicago ’s Willis Tower ) .

You know , the glass that , um , broke that one time . But it was suppose to !
The skyslide should be receptive in a few months and will expect a separate ticket for access — that ’s $ 25 to get to the observation deck of cards ( which is designed by Gensler ) and an special $ 8 to slide down a slice of field glass for three seconds , even though you ’ll probably shut your eyes the entire ride . But I ’m guessing justly now that getting tickets to this affair will not be easy . Especially since they ’ll have to spend so much clock time fishing out the masses who swoon .
