Hulu is a terrific service . Who could argue with innocent , current installment of primetime TV on your computer ? But for months now , Netflix has been wipe out Hulu ’s tiffin . And Hulu’splan to defend backsounds more like a swan song .
According tothe WSJ , Hulu ’s role in the future might not be as an archive of meshwork goggle box at all . alternatively , face with chipping commitment from its better half and vivid competition from Netflix , Hulu may upend its job model entirely . or else of a warehouse of episodic substance , Hulu could become a full - fledged online cable hustler . That means alive shows and video on demand , all accessed through Hulu .
It was n’t reckon to be like this . Hulu launch with potent internet owner in NBC and News Corp , even picking up medium powerhouse Disney along the style . But with business organization that the complimentary fashion model takes too big of a bite out of their tv set profits , those same networks are now bet to overstretch capacity from Hulu while at the same time license it to Netflix , Apple , and others . So Hulu ’s in trouble . But is becoming a live television portal online really the answer ? Of naturally not . What started as a mode to keep YouTube from yanking all that advertising revenue has outlive its purpose for the people write the checks .
