M3GAN is back for more sassy mayhem.
The viral artificial-intelligence doll returns in a newly releasedteaser trailerforM3GAN 2.0,a follow-up to the hit 2023 horror-comedy starringAllison Williams.
Perfectly set toChappell Roan’s “Femininomenon,” the 47-second teaser, which dropped during the 2025Grammyson Sunday, Feb. 2,, features M3GAN herself performing her signature impressive-yet-unhinged dance routine.
“Miss me?” she asks the camera with a wink.

Reads an official synopsis, “Two years after M3GAN, a marvel of artificial intelligence, went rogue and embarked on a murderous(and impeccably choreographed)rampage and was subsequently destroyed, M3GAN’s creator Gemma (Williams, 36) has become a high-profile author and advocate for government oversight of A.I.”

ProducerJason Blumfirst indicated that he had considered aM3GANsequel in aninterview withTheNew York Timesin November 2022, several months before the movie hit theaters. Not long after the film’s release, a sequel was confirmed with a release date set in 2025.
During a panel at New York Comic Con in October 2024, Blum, 55, and Williams teased the forthcoming follow-up, calling it “bigger” and “more expansive” than the previous.
Speaking about the sequel toEntertainment Weeklyin December 2024, Williams said she and director Gerard Johnstone felt a temptation to just take what worked about the first installment and “pummel it into the ground the second time.”
“It was really important that the sequel is a response to what people really loved about the first movie, but also this evolving conversation and fear that we’re having about how A.I. is changing us and changing our children and changing society,” Johnstone told the outlet. “In a way, M3GAN is a personification of all of those fears.”

The director also promised that the newM3GANfilm will include plenty of show-stopping outfits for the titular character — especially after the doll’s off-white dress and striped bow became fodder for many costume parties (evenDrew BarrymoreshowedM3GAN’s fashion sense some love).
“Part of the fun of having a doll is being able to play dress-up,” Johnstone toldEW. “We had a couple of looks in the first film, but I wanted 10 different looks for M3GAN. For the sequel, I felt like here’s a chance to do that.”
Williams is also executive-producing aM3GANspin-off titledSOULM8TE, which Blumhouse confirmed in June 2024 and has a release date of Jan. 2, 2026.
M3GAN 2.0is in theaters June 27.
