Tippi Hedrenstill knows how to party!
The retired actress turned 94 on Friday, and her daughter,Melanie Griffith, shared a behind-the-scenes look at her bash on Instagram the following day.
To commemorate her special day, Griffith, 66, shared two photos of her mom, including a sweet photo of her rocking bold pink lipstick and another slightly sillier snap.
In the festive shot, Hedren posed with a fork full of cake as she sported colorful, sprinkle-covered party glasses that read “CAKE TIME!”
“Yesterday Mom aka MorMor turned 94!!” Griffith captioned thepost. “Always up for a party! 🎉 💫✨💃🏼 Happy Birthday Mama ♥️ Tippi.”
“It may not be exciting to the rest of the world, but as a mother and grandmother, it’s the perfect way to celebrate,” she told PEOPLE.

When Griffith was awarded the timeless beauty award at the Hollywood Beauty Awards in 2016, she dedicated the honor to Hedren with a sweet tribute.
“Really, I would like to say that this should be for my mom, who’s right there,” Griffith told the audience. “She isthetimeless beauty. So mom, I’m going to take this on your behalf. I love you.”
