Nick Cannonhas tested positive for the novelcoronavirus, PEOPLE can confirm.

The 40-year-old comedian is currently in quarantine and resting, a representative for the star toldVariety, who was first to report the news.

Cannon will be taking a break from his hosting duties onThe Masked Singer, according to the outlet.

A spokesperson for Fox did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment.

Nash, 50, previously hadappeared on the show’s fourth seasonas a guest judge.
