Taraji P. Hensonbrought the star power – and sexy style – to Palm Springs, California!
On Thursday, theColor Purpleactress, 53, wore a bright green dress as she posed for pictures on the red carpet at the 35th Annual Palm Springs International Film Festival Awards Gala at the desert city’s Convention Center.
The bright green gown featured sparkles and a deep-plunge neckline. Henson’s dress was form-fitting with loose sleeves that stopped just above her elbows.

Henson wore her hair slicked back in a high ponytail with drop earrings. She kept her accessories minimal, opting to not wear a necklace, but showing off several rings on her fingers.
Henson completed her gala look with Una 90 gold embossed leather mules fromMalone Souliers.

The Color Purplerecently earned thesecond-biggest Christmas Day opening of all time. The musical, which is currently in theaters, is a screen adaptation of the Broadway musical. It is based on Alice Walker’s novel, which was previously adapted for the big screen in 1985.
