TheBoy Meets Worldalum, 42, was left starstruck when introduced to the rapper, 38, backstage at the2023 iHeartRadio Music Festival, and the sweet moment was captured on video.
Fishel shared a clip from the encounteron Instagram, which begins with her walking through a hall at Las Vegas' T-Mobile Arena when someone says, “Danielle, I think J. Cole’s coming.” The actress let out a gasp before proclaiming, “It is J. Cole!”
Fishel then walked in Cole’s direction after being asked if she wanted to say hi and expressed how much of a fan she was of the performer’s music.
“I have to say hi to you. I went and saw your show in L.A.,” she said. “Unbelievable, I’m such a big fan.” After the two share a hug, Cole replies, “Me too, likewise. Good to see you,” and Fishel continues to walk down the hall with husband Jensen Karp and costar Will Friedle with a big smile on her face.

The “Crooked Smile” rapper wasat the festival to perform “All My Life"withLil Durkand came out towards the end of the performer’s set on Friday. While it was the first time the two performed the track together, fans couldn’t help but continue to gush over his encounter with Fishel in the comment section of her post.
The actress has been looking back at her experience on the show with costarsRider StrongandFriedleon thePod Meets Worldpodcast. At the festival, she chatted with PEOPLE about the hesitationsshe first had when starting the podcast.
“We were worried we might ruin the show,” she said. “We don’t want our criticisms or our critiques or our experiences to in any way change what your opinion of the show is. They’re just our honest opinions, and we can’t do it if we’re not going to be honest.”

She added: “I was just left with one overarching feeling about the whole experience as opposed to the show and what its values were, or what its key points were, or how good it was. And so now getting to watch it, I’m like, ‘Man, it’s a really good show,' and what a great experience we had.”
